Malcolm sells out Oakland’s Fox Theater

Malcolm Todd, the American singer, brought his sold-out tour “Do That Again” to San Francisco for two nights. He opened his concert on the first night by introducing himself and his band like a basketball team. He ran out on stage last, grabbed his guitar, and as the lights went out, he sang “Jean Skirt,” and the crowd roared. This was followed by “Breathe” and “Malcolm in the Middle,” before Malcolm switched to playing on the top stage for “Ain’t That the Truth” and “Walk to Class.”

“Bleed,” one of his biggest hits, had the crowd instantly recognizing the song as soon as the first beat dropped. Malcolm had the fans sing along to the second verse, transitioning into “You Owe Me” and “X’s and O’s,” telling them to sing along loudly. Malcolm then transitioned into a slower segment of his concert, where he took the stage with his piano to perform the songs “Gun to My Head” and “Goodbye.” The fans expressed their support by raising their flashlights. “Your lights are beautiful,” he responded with appreciation.

Malcolm closed out the show with “Cheer Me On,” “Chest Pains,” “Earrings,” and “I Saw Your Face,” ending with an encore of “Roommates,” which was the most anticipated song of the night. He also surprised the audience with a cover of the iCarly theme song. The fans were jumping and singing alongside their friends all night long, creating cherished memories together.
